Kala Hutch Hutchinson Ubass |
"U" stands for ukalele ...and it's made by Kala (the ukalele people), but it's NOTHING like a ukalele! This special Hutch Hutchinson model has mahogany back and sides, a solid spruce top, rosewood fingerboard and bridge. These tonewoods give the U-Bass a warm and slightly dark (but not muddy) fundamental tone and the solid spruce top adds extra midrange definition. Hutch had Kala load this signature model with extras including a custom Shadow electronics system (complete with an active EQ and tuner) and a unique slotted soundhole design which eliminates acoustic feedback. The proprietry polymer strings allow a very short scale length and an amazing upright bass tone. People who see this in action sometimes wonder where the deep bass sound is coming from! |
| Cool Features: - Unique custom look. - Sounds from authentic stand-up to rock bass - Small - 21" scale neck - Feedback killing sound hole(s). - Beautiful mother-of-pearl frog inlay. - Magnetic back cover for string changes
