Taylor have had a huge success with this model, and the reason is that all the money goes into quality workmanship and materials -- no frills, no decoration. You get all the things you need, none of the things you don't!

The biggest factor separating the Taylor from it's competition is that the top is solid spruce. This is the biggest factor in guitar sound quality. The construction is unique and a specially designed to get the best sound from the small body. The neck is bolted on with two screws from the top (see picture below).
